So, I've finally got around to writing about Animethon 13.
I got there early Saturday morning and was third in line (go me!), but I then had to wait over an hour as the volunteers got their act together. They were half an hour late opening up registration. I really just wanted to go over and organize things. Anyway, I register, get my guide book and then leave. There weren't any shows I wanted to see in the morning, so Mom and I went shopping.
I came back in time for the AMV contest. It was pretty good. I didn't stay for the whole thing, but what I stayed for I liked. Anime Academy Heroes was my favourite. You can find it here http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members/members_videoinfo.php?vid_id=105541.
I then went shopping. Wow. So much anime in one place. I actually didn't buy much. I got some gloves from Naruto (sound village) and 2 posters (Death Note and Naruto). I also got a Death Note! I have no idea what I'm going to write in it, but it is so cool.
After that I watched the Fullmetal Alchemist movie. It was pretty good, but the ending makes it hard for a sequel, so that's probably all the Fullmetal I'll get once I finish the series.
The next day I went and saw xxxHolic. It was okay. Not my favourite, but not bad.
Before we left Edmonton, Mom and I stopped at a comic store and I got Yellow and My Only King. They were both yaoi and Yellow was awesome, but I hated the other one. If I wanted my guys to look like girls, I would have gotten a regular romance manga, not yaoi. We also went to an awesome store that sold goth and witch stuff. I got a pair of amazing shoes. So, that's all that gone on in my life recently. I get to go work in Canmore on Sunday, so wish me luck.
