Just realized I'm going to have to kill off a character in my nano. I really like him too. I'm trying to find a way for him to survive, but it's not looking good.

So, I'm doing NaNo again this year. It's going...okay. I like my characters, but I hate the actual writing, and I had no plot.

Until today! On the bus on the way to class today I got my plot all worked out! I feel so much better about my writing and, once I get the boring beginning part out of the way, I think this story is going to kick ass! I don't know if I'm going to love it as much as last year's, but I certainly like it better than I did yesterday!

And I actually have a title and a summary for this year.
Wolf's Den
Alice is one of the few humans in a world of shapeshifters. She grew up with the government watching her every move and she's sick of it. Now, she's been invited to fly across the country to join other humans at university. They're living on their own, surrounded by shifters. And it turns out the government aren't the only ones watching them.

It doesn't really get into a lot of the plot, but that's the general idea. The only problem now is that I have too many minor characters who want to take over.

Who's 80% done? I am!

Who wrote over 4000 words today? I did!

Who rocks? I do!

That is all.

Wrote a final and handed in a paper today. Now I just have exam week left. I have one on the 9th, one on the 12th, and then I'm home on the 12th.

On the NaNo front, I'm really going to have to push out some writing to make the deadline. But I'm hopeful!

Slowly, slowly getting there. It turned a lot more serious than I had originally planned. It was supposed to be a light urban fantasy, and now I'm getting into all sorts of dark emotions. I kinda like it!

In other news, I have a 10 page paper due Thursday and a final exam the same day. Not sure how much NaNo I'll get done, but I think I should be able to include my essay in the word count. Please?

23435 / 50000 words. 47% done!

Almost halfway! And I'm finally getting some plot introduced. Yay! Yay for plot taking half the freaking story to get there.

I'm also a few days behind, but I'm managing to not fall any further behind, which is a good thing. Especially with an essay this week, and another one and a final exam next week. Then I get four days to catch up before the month ends. Go me!

So, I'm a bit behind. I was doing really well, until I realized that I still have two essay to write and a final to study for. At least I've finally started to introduce plot!
