I did it!

Today I did my first portrait shoot at work! And I did it alone!

For those of you who missed it, I'm working at the Walmart Portrait Studio. So far I had only been doing sales and taking passport photos, but today Eileen, my trainer, got called away to another store. We had a shoot scheduled for 4:00 today, with a 2 week old baby. What was supposed to happen was Eileen would do everything except take the actual photo, which was going to be my job. Of course, with Eileen gone, that all changed.

I spent all day freaking out about this shoot. I went through past shoots with young children and got some pose ideas. I had cue cards and everything.

So, 4 o'clock comes and they show up. They actually want Mom, baby and a toddler.Okay. I can deal. I get them all set up and we head into the studio. They know exactly what they want and how they want it.

It went so well!!!! They were so easy to work with and they loved my photos! The baby was so cute and perfect and the toddler was amazing.

I finished the shoot and took them into the sales room and they bought $240 worth of stuff. I called Eileen to help me with one of the menus on the computer and she was really happy. The family was happy and I'm happy (okay, ecstatic) and I can't wait to do it again!

That is so cool! I never got to actually take any pictures when I worked at Sears. I'm glad your job is going well!
