Coles is racist!!!!1
So I was in Coles today and they have a new section.
“Black Authors”
You heard me. “Black Authors”. Apparently Coles is racist. They have to segregate their books. Oooo. Don’t want those black authors’ books touching our white authors’ books. That would be horrible!
I think the next step is for them to have a “Hispanic Authors” section. And an “Asian Authors” section. Of course, that one would have to be split up. Can’t have the Japanese authors touching the Chinese authors. Heaven forbid.
Really. Why do they feel the need to separate the books like this? Are black people so insecure about their race that they have to have their own section? It’s not like the books are in any way special. They’re standard books. Just written by black people and, in the case of the romance novels, featuring black people.
I think that it’s this kind of thing that just enforces racism in our society. Black people say they want to be equal to white people, but how can they be when their books are separated?
